The Brief

A series of around 24 illustrations for Merck's annual quiz, testing people's knowledge on how best to keep their teeth. It was a fast turnaround job, only four days from start to finish, Cumi settled on initial concept designs and a buy in on style on day one, roughly sketched out all the scenes on day two, then spent the remaining days on final artwork and amends.

What Cumi Created

Cumi built a recurring cast of expressive tooth characters and placed them through the quiz's key topics, bad bacteria and plaque, the cost of poor dental care, brushing, flossing, a full dental care kit, and the sugary food and drink that causes trouble. The finished set of illustrations was built directly into Merck's own online quiz interface.
