Deloitte Spotlight, a hand drawn explainer for an audit analytics tool. From Deloitte Spotlight
One clear idea at a time
A good explainer does not list every feature. It finds one idea the audience can hold on to and builds everything around it. For Deloitte's Spotlight audit tool that idea was navigating fierce waters, starting with a hand drawn ship and opening out into the wider world. For WanDisco it was data gathered in like a catch from the water and carried safely around the globe.
We turn technical subjects into pictures people can follow. Track and Trace explains how global supply chains are secured, moving from 3D into 2D for the detail. Our film for True Tube explains what a hung parliament is and what it means, made simply and with style on no budget.
Every explainer starts with the script. We can write it with you from a brief or a slide deck, or work from yours, then storyboard it so you can see the whole film before animation begins.
Explainer videos we have made
Software, finance, supply chains and politics, each explained through one clear visual idea.

Questions buyers ask
How long should an explainer video be?
Most explainers work best at around one to three minutes. Our WanDisco film runs for 2 minutes 5 seconds and our Arvato film for 2 minutes 17 seconds.
Can you explain a technical product?
Yes. We have explained audit analytics, data replication and supply chain tracking. We work with your experts to get the facts right, then find the pictures that make them clear.
Do you write the script?
We can. Some clients bring a brief or a presentation and we write the script from it. Others bring a finished script, as Arvato did, along with brand guidelines and approved footage.
How much does an explainer video cost?
It depends on the length, the style and how much of the process you need us for. We give you a clear quote once we understand the brief, and we can suggest ways to shape the film around your budget.
How many rounds of changes are included?
Review rounds are agreed at the start and built into the script, storyboard and animation stages. The exact number is set out in the quote, so there are no surprises.
Who owns the finished film?
Usage rights are agreed in writing before work begins, so you know exactly where and for how long the film can be used.
Have something that needs explaining
Tell us what it is, who needs to understand it and where they will watch. We will find the idea that makes it click.
