The Brief

Cumi was asked to create a number of illustrations in different styles for a short leaving film made to send off a departing colleague, Bob Diamond.

What Cumi Created

Rather than settle on one style, Cumi explored the same likeness nine different ways, a clean caricature bust, a softer painted wash portrait, a loose crayon stick figure sketch, a rough red toned marker drawing, a torn paper cutout portrait, and a full scrapbook style layout collaging several of the styles together alongside handwritten notes. One version even holds a red Boston Red Sox pennant, a nod to the subject's own real life association with the team.
